BE A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR AT JMP DRIVING SCHOOL

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a Driving Instructor who is not just teaching students to pass a test, but helping them become safe, confident drivers for life.

You’ll work directly with students of all levels, providing structured, professional, and calm instruction focused on defensive driving and real-world conditions.

No prior instructor experience required. We will train the right person. 

DISQUALIFYING FACTORS

  • Driver’s license suspension within the past 3 years (for any reason)
  • Any criminal record or criminal conviction
  • Failure to maintain a clean driving record

All instructors must successfully complete the required background screening and obtain State of Florida certification.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Conduct behind-the-wheel driving lessons
  • Prepare students for the Florida driving exam
  • Teach defensive driving in real traffic situations
  • Evaluate student skill level and track progress
  • Provide clear, calm, and structured guidance
  • Communicate with students and parents when needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills (English required, Spanish a plus)
  • Patient, professional, and reliable
  • Able to stay calm under pressure
  • Coachable and willing to learn
  • Enjoys teaching, coaching, mentoring, or helping others learn
  • Takes pride in seeing people gain confidence and improve

Previous teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, instructor experience is a strong plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. What matters most is having a genuine teaching heart, a desire to help students succeed.
